Most of the construction work on new build apartments was finished though and the new complexes which popped up were all designed to appeal more towards the luxury end of the market, specifically targeting non-residents buying holiday homes and Spanish clients looking for a second home/investment. There are a good amount of bars, shops and restaurants, banks, a taxi rank and a new bus service. Properties are selling in the area and the glut of empty new build properties is for the most part now gone as people have steadily snapped them up over the last 18 months as prices have dropped. Palm Mar is definitely somewhere you should take a look at if you aren´t already familiar with the town as you might just find you love it – like so many others have!
