A 4 bedroom villa for sale in the Las Carabelas complex, Torviscas just reduced from 360,000€ to the bargain price of 329,950€.
For this area, this property is quite rare, being a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house/linked villa. There are very few similar properties around of this size and Las Carabelas is rated as one of the best complexes in Torviscas and San Eugenio. This property is a very good example of what you can get for under 400,000€ and for UK buyers with the exchange rate now going up against the Euro this can be had for just £257,000!
On the upper level of the villa you will find a large lounge and kitchen off which is a dining area and patio doors out onto a terrace with BBQ area and pool and sea views. There is a second terrace off the lounge area of a similar size, also with pool and sea views.
Permission has been granted to extend and join these two balconies creating one very large balcony. This would almost double in size the current balcony area at little cost and would be make an excellent addition feature of the villa.
Upstairs you also have a double bedroom with fitted wardrobes and its own small balcony and adjacent to the bedroom there is a large bathroom. The other three bedrooms are all downstairs so the villa lends itself very well to large groups as you have two easily segregated areas. All three bedrooms are doubles and two of them have wide doorways leading out onto the ground floor patio and garden area. The third bedroom is currently used as a storeroom with a single door out onto the terraced area. There is another small storage room downstairs of around 5m2.
From the front door of the villa, steps lead down to one of the communal swimming pools meaning that whilst the upstairs is not wheelchair friendly, the ground floor of the villa is fully accessible. Permission has also been granted to extend the patio so wheelchair users have fuller access and an additional window can be added to the third downstairs bedroom to open it up. Additionally a pathway can be created to the downstairs front door – again, very useful if you want the option of separating upstairs and downstairs for larger groups using the property.
The Las Carabelas complex is centrally located in Torviscas Bajo. It is set back from the road and this property is approximately 50 metres away from the front of the complex so you get no noise whatsoever even though you are in the middle of a tourist area. The advantages of this are obvious, everything is withing a few minutes walk including the beach of La Pinta and the Puerto Colon area, bars, shops, restaurants etc, but when you are in the pool or relaxing on the balcony, there is no noise whatsoever – truly the best of both worlds! Next door is the Santa Maria hotel and across the road is the Hotel La Nina complete with gymnasium, spa and 24 hour secure parking (at very low rates) so if you use a car when you are in Tenerife this comes in very useful.
Las Carabelas itself is really well maintained with permanent staff on the complex and they keep the gardens and pool areas immaculate. The top pool outshines the bottom pool in terms of looks as it was only recently fully reformed and re-tiled. The bottom pool is also in the process of having the same improvements made. It has a large shallow end so is ideal for small children. Both swimming pools conform with health and safety laws having secure access. Community fees are low for such a size able property, the community is well run and solid with a British president and a British vice president who are both very pro active, approachable and helpful. Most of the owners on the complex have owned for a long time and visit for several months at a time. The complex is “well to do” and very few properties come up for sale on here. The last two that have come up have been sold by ourselves as we are the primary agent with our office at the entrance. As such we really do know this complex inside out and highly recommend it.
If you are looking for a larger property but have been put off by the huge price tags on the beach side of the motorway this is a property that really goes against the grain. It is very affordable for a 4 bed, in a superb location and on an excellent complex. The only downside to this property is that the interior is very dated and needs re decorated. That said, most people who would buy this type of lifestyle property would want to redecorate anyways to their own style so it is not such a disadvantage. And now that the price has been dropped 30,000€ that saving will be more than enough to pay for whatever improvements you would like to make.
